Green Mountain College President Bob Allen signed Energy Independent Vermont’s petition to put a price on carbon — joining over 500 businesses in the State, and making GMC the first college to sign onto the campaign.
In joining our campaign, Allen said, “Green Mountain has a long tradition of environmental leadership in higher education and recognized the imperative to address climate change. Economists and business leaders recognize the importance of putting a price on carbon moving us towards a clean energy future.”
In an era when facts and science are under attack, now is the time for institutions of higher learning to stand up and stand out. We applaud Green Mountain College for leading the way.
